Monarda didyma 'Blue Stocking'

Blue Stocking's name is a little misleading- the flowers are by no means considered to be in the blue range, they are however a very nice shade of violet-purple that is unique in Bee Balms. The nectar rich blossoms are a magnet for hummingbirds and butterflies who literally zoom in and out of the garden once they discover the plants. Blue Stocking has proven to be more heat and drought tolerant than other forms of Monarda.
